Some of the most loved music ever written didn't come from a concert hall. It came from the worlds of anime. For one extraordinary night, it comes to life at Holy Trinity Cathedral.
Orchestra Auckland, conducted by James Jin, joins forces with a live band, vocalists, and the cathedral's magnificent pipe organ, played by Cathedral Organist Philip Smith, to bring you the sweeping soundtracks of Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, Princess Mononoke, Demon Slayer, Attack on Titan, Your Name, Cowboy Bebop, Evangelion, and many more.
The concert unfolds in two halves. The first takes you deep into the orchestral heart of anime, with the lush Studio Ghibli soundscapes and the soaring strings of Demon Slayer, all lifted by the rich, resonant voice of one of Auckland's finest pipe organs.
