APO: Celebrate Christmas

December in Auckland is a wonderful time of year with pohutukawas in full bloom, the summer sun glinting on the Waitemata and the APO’s annual Christmas concert.

Music is at the heart of any celebration and a marvellous way to embrace the festive spirit of this special time of the year. This year the APO welcomes popular New Zealand soprano Anna Leese as a soloist as well as the return of the sublime Graduate Choir NZ.

This much-loved event in the APO calendar will include Yuletide orchestral favourites like Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker and Prokofiev’s Troika together with a generous helping of traditional Christmas carols.
