About the event

The National Youth Brass Band is excited to welcome you to its 2026 concert. The band is made up of New Zealand’s finest young brass and percussion players and its Musical Director, Mark Carter, has put together a programme that fully showcases these hugely talented young musicians.


The concert features a number of works for brass band and organ, including the Finale from Saint Saens’ Organ Symphony, alongside a varied programme of both classic and contemporary music. From ‘Cloudcatcher Fells’ to ‘Amazing Grace’ and ‘Uranus’ from Holst’s Planets Suite, there is something for everyone to enjoy.


The concert will also feature a solo by the 2025 Champion of Champions, NYBB percussionist Keina Rollinson from Christchurch on mallet percussion, accompanied by the band.


Tickets are available online through TryBooking and door sales will also be available on the day (cash and Eftpos).
