Parking
The Cathedral cark park has 150 spaces and is accessible from either Parnell Road, behind St Marys-in-Holy Trinity or from Brighton Road. There are parking meters located at either end of the car park. Parking is $3 per hour and can be paid in cash or by credit cark at the machine.


Holy Trinity Cathedral Nave
Capacity: 700-1,100 seated

The Cathedral Nave is not only used for worship. This area is regularly used as an auditorium, concert venue, lecture theatre and conference venue to name but a few. The space is versatile with movable furniture enabling the Nave to be configured in many different ways. The vibrant stained glass creates an uplifting effect during the day and becomes very atmospheric with the change of light in the evening. Events held in the Cathedral Nave include concerts by Bic Runga, Dave Dobbin, Paul Kelly and Beth Orton, the Lexus Song Quest, the Bishop Sir Paul Reeves Lecture Series, Anglican Consultative Council 2012 Conference, the KBB Music Festival and workshops with the Kings Singers.


Holy Trinity Cathedral Chancel

The Cathedral Chancel is a spectacular venue suitable for smaller concerts, with high ceiling arches, polished wooden floors and beautiful acoustics. The Chancel has been the setting of many concerts including those by V8 and Trinity Voices, and is home to the Cathedral's own organ recital series.


St Mary's-in-Holy Trinity
Capacity: 550 seated

St Mary's -in-Holy Trinity is over 120 years old and made almost exclusively from native Heart Kauri. It is one of the larger wooden churches in New Zealand but still provides an intimate atmosphere for concerts and lectures. St Marys recently provided a backdrop for the Auckland Cathedral's Lenten Studies Series featuring panelists such as Mayor Len Brown, Chris Trotter, Annah Stretton, Tim Wilson and Bishop Ross Bay.


The Bishop Monteith Visitor's Centre
Capacity: 100 seated, 200+ standing
Cost: $100+GST per hour (4 hour minimum)
The Bishop Monteith Visitor's Centre is the long, glass building located off the Cathedrals sunny forecourt with excellent views over the Waitemata on one side and of the Mountain Fountain on the other. The Visitor's Centre is suitable for a variety of catered functions from sit-down dinners to cocktail parties as there is a functional and well-stocked kitchen facility attached. There is also a fixed projector screen enabling this venue to be used for presentations, AGMs and lectures.


The Oaks Room
Capacity: 60 people seated
Cost: $40+GST per hour
(A special discount of 25% will be given to Community Groups that meet certain criteria.)
The Oaks Room is the Cathedrals largest meeting room and is located underneath the Cathedral. It contains a fixed projector screen and can be used as a meeting room, lecture hall or cinema room. There is also access to the kitchen facilities outside the room by arrangement.


The Friend's Room
Capacity: 20 people seated
Cost: $30+GST per hour
(A special discount of 25% will be given to Community Groups that meet certain criteria.)
The Friend's Room is located off the Cathedral Nave. It is light and spacious with a large boardroom table and kitchen facilities


The Undercroft
Capacity: 100 seated, 200+ standing
Cost: $100+GST per hour
(4 hour minimum, a special discount of 25% will be given to Community Groups that meet certain criteria.)
The Cathedral Undercroft is a large, open space underneath the Cathedral Nave. It contains a kitchen and is used by a variety of groups including Mainly Music, Boot It Fitness and for other such exuberant activities. The space is also ideal for larger conferences with the capacity and versatility to hold many tables in various configurations. A large projector screen can be arranged.


Smaller Meeting Rooms
Capactiy: 20
Cost: $30+GST per hour

We have three smaller rooms available. These are suitable for small gatherings, meetings or breakout rooms as part of a larger event. They are used for a range of activities from small meetings to university tutoring and singing lessons.
