Family Worship

The Cathedral provides a quiet space in the city, a place for schools and organisations to gather to mark occasions and has a daily pattern of worship and is a place for families. Our worship follows traditional Anglican patterns and caters for families with Sunday and social activities.

Kathedral Kids

To help children feel welcome there is an area set aside in the Cathedral during worship. During term time there is a Sunday school programme with Kathedral Kids that includes a separate class for pre-schoolers. The Kathedral Kids begin worship with the rest of the community and then leave for their own class and come back for Communion. At other times there are social activities for children and their parents. People are welcome for baptism and confirmation. Baptism services are held as part of community worship and inquiries can be made to the Reverend Sarah Stevens. Confirmation classes are held each year and inquiries can be made to the office. There are many ways you can take part in the community life of the Cathedral including music, education and study groups or just relaxing with a cup of coffee on the first Friday of each month.
