Visitors from Bristol

Early next year, there will be some new faces at Holy Trinity Cathedral.

The Reverend Kat Campion-Spall will arrive in New Zealand on Sabbatical on 4 February 2020 and be with us until Easter Sunday. She will be a wonderful addition to our liturgical rosters as well as assisting with the 2020 Lenten Studies, pastoral visits and other ministry tasks while she is here.

Kat is Associate Vicar at St Mary Redcliffe church in Bristol, in the South West of England, where she’s been for 5 years following training in Cambridge and a curacy in South West London. St Mary Redcliffe is a medieval church with a large staff team and thousands of visitors a year. Kat is responsible for ministry to children, young people and families, and for the church’s community engagement and mission. She is a member of the Bishop’s Council and has a particular interest in issues of diversity and inclusion.

With Kat comes her husband, Pete, and their two children, Astrid and Iris. Pete works in Higher Education administration at the University of Bristol and enjoys playing the trombone in big bands. Astrid, who is 9, loves singing in the church choir, dancing and acting; and Iris, who is 7, and loves baking and horse riding.

We look forward to having the Campion-Spall family with us and we know you will join us in welcoming Kat, Pete, Astrid and Iris into our Cathedral community.
