You can help!

In the past 3 months the Auckland City Mission has provided 3,253 emergency food parcels to desperate families and individuals. These food parcels have contained 49,417 cans of food. Their stock of canned food is now almost used up and they urgently need more canned food. You can help by donating a couple of cans to them or having a collection at work, school or in your neighbourhood. Their wish list: canned spaghetti, canned tomatoes, canned vegetables (e.g. corn, green beans), canned fruit (in juice) and canned soup. Please help us to support those in our community who need food! Click here to read more.

General Synod 2018

In an exciting decision, the Anglican Church has voted in favour of blessing couples in committed same-sex relationships. This allows priests to bless same-sex civil marriage or civil unions within the Anglican church. Click below to watch the Bishops' video from General Synod 2018. "One of the things we've achieved is a really significant step towards being a more inclusive Church." - Clare Barrie Click here to read the report of the Motion 29 working group.

New Arrival

The final part of the musical aspect of Selwyn’s Vison project was completed on Thursday 19th April with the delivery of the new organ for the Bishop Selwyn Chapel. The organ is a custom built self-contained two manual and pedal digital instrument built by Johannus of Holland to a tonal scheme designed by Cathedral Organist Philip Smith. The organ will play a prominent part in the life of the chapel and is fully mobile. An opening recital will take place on August 19 at 2.30pm. An enormous thank you to the generous donors to Selwyn’s Vision that made the purchase possible.
