The Wedding Ceremony
The marriage ceremony is in the Anglican tradition and follows one of the liturgies found in A New Zealand Prayer Book.
The Anglican Church is affiliated to the Worldwide Anglican Communion. In some other countries it is known as the Episcopal Church.
Wedding Eucharist
You may wish to receive Holy Communion as your first meal together and share it with your friends and relatives as part of your ceremony. The Eucharist follows the wedding ceremony, but before the final blessing. All who are baptised may receive the sacrament; others who come forward will receive a blessing.
