The Choir The Holy Trinity Cathedral Choir is a mixed-voice group which sings at the Cathedral Eucharist and Choral Evensong services each Sunday during term time.
The repertoire ranges from plainsong and Latin settings to 20th century works, and includes music by New Zealand composers such as Peter Godfrey, David Hamilton, Graham Parsons and Helen Fisher, to name but a few.

Choir with Bishop of Auckland & Clergy
The choir is often in demand for special and civic services and, from time to time travels throughout the Diocese. Orchestral Masses are also a feature of the choir’s programme, as is the atmospheric service of Choral Night Prayer taken from the New Zealand Prayer Book.
Highlights in the church’s calendar include the solemn Holy Week services, the Advent Procession and Carols, and Nine Lessons and Carols services which attract large numbers of worshippers.
The Cathedral’s junior choir, known affectionately as the "Choristars", is conducted by one of the Peter Godfrey Choral Conducting Scholars,
Margaret Hawkes. |
